Located at 2120 S. Jackson St. in Seattle’s vibrant Central District, the McKinney Center for Community & Economic Development (MCCED) is more than just a building — it’s a place of purpose. Formerly known as the Seattle Vocational Institute, this six-story, 111,000-square-foot facility has been reimagined into a hub focused on empowering African American and underserved communities through education, workforce development, and economic advancement.
As part of its ongoing transformation, the McKinney Center continues to serve as a trusted gathering place for learning, collaboration, and progress.
Ameristar Montage Steel Fencing Installed by Inline Security Fence
In November 2023, Inline Security Fence was honored to contribute to the revitalization of this vital institution by delivering a fence and gate solution that reflects both functionality and visual harmony with the property’s mission.
Our scope of work included:
172 linear feet of 8-foot-high Ameristar Montage Commercial Classic three-rail ornamental steel fencing, offering a blend of strength, elegance, and perimeter control.
Two custom-fabricated double swing security gates, each measuring 10’ wide by 7’ high, outfitted with panic bars for emergency egress and keypad entry systems for controlled access.
This wasn’t just another install — it was an opportunity to match design with purpose. The decorative metal fencing enhances curb appeal while meeting the need for durable, long-term security. The double swing gates, built to spec and integrated with modern access control hardware, ensure that staff and visitors can move safely and efficiently through designated entry points.
